Trade A Plant www.tradeaplant.com.au is an innovative and original Australian website. Trade A Plant’s online service gives homeowners around the world the unique opportunity to trade ‘unwanted’ backyard plants instead of just cutting them down for disposal.

There is no other business like Trade A Plant in the world and we have already developed an American division of the Australian website to establish our market in the USA www.tradeaplant.com This is a unique opportunity for a home consumer web portal to lead the world in local tree preservation, garden information & environmental care. We are seeking an equity partner / major advertiser / or sponsor, to further develop Trade A Plant within Australia, the USA and Europe. Our goal is to go completely .com with a Homepage menu to select your world region. We intend to float the company in the future.

We believe our gardening portal would have significant synergies with other web communities on both a national & global level. We can use the ‘niche’ tree trading aspect to initially capture customers, but our goal is to build an online global gardening community who regularly log on for daily news & service directories, as well as the unique choice of buying & selling plants from either Backyard Gardens, Retail or Wholesale Nursery Outlets.

Trade A Plant is the ultimate gardening portal where the community can access and share information about what’s happening in the world of horticulture. Users of the site have access to menus such as online buy & sell, plant identification, upcoming events, latest news, gardening tips, employment opportunities and trade service directories. It costs the plant owner $10 to advertise their plant's availability and potentially make a few dollars selling it. Plant owners also save on removal fees while preserving our planet’s precious ‘green assets’.

There is a huge potential to capture a global market of ‘like minded’ home owners and hobby gardeners who want choices and environmentally friendly solutions to their backyard needs. The website is already attracting over 200,000 hits a month.
